I have been into this lifestyle since 2005. Initially, I was only running long distance while I was deployed to Afghanistan; it was a way to deal with being depressed from being away from my son. Over time, I did research and became more interested in weight training and high intensity workouts. Running long distance only made me very skinny, with no muscle mass. I got into weight training on another deployment to South America, but started very light. I loved my body's reaction to it. I learned that through the weight training, I could really transform my body, and the weights helped my depression! I continued to learn more about this lifestyle, to include the nutritional value of it as well. My husband and I went to school and did an internship to get certified as personal trainers. I have trained MMA fighters and boxers; primarily for strength and conditioning. I realized that it made me feel so good to help or give advice to other people when they'd ask about my transformation. I have done one (NPC) bodybuilding show, as a bikini competitor in 2014. I placed 6th in my class of 19. I have taken the last couple of years to learn more about bodybuilding, and properly train for Figure. Currently in prep for WBFF show in San Antonio, TX on November 18th. I have done numerous tv/radio interviews and appearances in regard to health and fitness. I do alot of networking in GA, as I am a fitness model for a brand there. (Insane Fitness). I'm currently the health and fitness director for a non profit organization here in SC, where we provide scholarships to kids. Health and fitness is not just a look for me; it's definitely a lifestyle that I am fully committed to. My journey is all about consistently aiming to better myself, while helping others. In 2015, my oldest sister passed away due to several health issues. My goal to maintain this lifestyle has become even more personal since then.
